Specimen from the mine of Mâlain in Burgundy, France, highlighting a salmon-coloured gypsum nodule.
This mine, now banned from access, contains rare training in nodule caught in a clay marne.
These nodules can be patiently released from their gange, polished and varnish.
This 572 gram specimen measures 10.2 cm wide for 15 cm high and 4.5 cm thick.
